HistoryNATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

Naturopathic medicine is wholistic medicine at it's finest.  Utilizing modern science and evidence based medicine naturopathic physicians find and treat the underlying cause of a patient's illness.

The foundations of naturopathic medicine are:

  • The healing power of nature: recognizing that inherent self healing is organized and intelligent, naturopathic doctors identify and help remove obstacles to healing.

  • Identify and treat the root cause: seek and remove the underlying cause of disease rather than treat symptoms

  • First do no harm: utilize methods which minimize harmful adverse effects, avoid suppression of symptoms, work with individuals' self-healing process

  • Doctor as teacher: Educate patients and encourage self-responsibilty for health

  • Treat the whole person

  • Prevention
